Time out! Sometimes when you are talking to clients you are going to REALLY benefit from simply calling a time out, taking a step back, and speaking mindfully about the subject at hand.
Some people can be very frustrating to work with, or you just don’t think there is a mutual understanding for a certain issue. There are many instances in which saying “is it okay if we take a time out for a second” can help you. Doing this will never make your client upset because you are making a true effort to come to understand them and come to an agreement in a healthy way that works best for everybody.
In Contracting, proper communication is key for running a successful business.
